NOVICECODERS

A group of students innovating with tech

WHERE DID WE COME FROM?

NoviceCoders has been a group where students interested in technology can bring their ideas to life. The group was born out of an innovation competition, coming in first place for the idea of helping teenagers create themselves a job out of I.T. Since the competition the group has worked with several clients to create websites for their small businesses, and given a platform for young people to work on their ideas. Students in the NoviceCoders group have won prizes at multiple innovation events, using their love of technology in these ideas. WHAT ARE WE WORKING ON?

  • One of our current projects is building an idea we developed in January 2017, in the emergency response space. We have have been working with mentors from multiple organisations, including the AFP, ACT Government, Lifeline, other emergency agencies and Business and IT contacts. We are planning to pitch a prototype of our idea later in the year.

  • NoviceCoders is also looking at developing in the Aged Care space, experimenting with ideas that we have came up with by attending different innovation events in Canberra.
